Nine handed at the Bellagio.

UTG raises to $20.

I have KK in the SB and I re-raise to $80. Villain calls.

FLOP ($165, 2 players): AQQ

I check. Villain checks.

TURN ($165, 2 players): 6

I check. Villain bets $50. I call.

RIVER ($265, 2 players): 7

I check. Villain bets $80.

Villain is a young asian, who previously put a $100 bill into the pot to call a $25 bet, but he then announced that he had been trying to raise. I would find out later that he's actually an online pro who plays $1/$2 6-max online, but I didn't know that when this hand took place.

Coming from LHE for a long time, I am used to a c-bet being almost obligatory in most situations, especially HU when the board hits your range. He could easily have an Ace or a Queen, but he could also have a pocket pair up to Jacks.
Why not c-bet this for 1/2 pot and reacess. If he raises you, then let it go. He's a EP preflop raiser and it will be easy to believe that you are behind. Fastplaying is the old slowplaying.

If his regular game is 200NL 6max his live adjustments are horrible.

Considering stack sizes are unknown, I will assume 100bb. So, I think re raising to $80 is a mistake. You should be making a smaller re raise in this spot. $55-65 are better.

Your opponents range throughout this hand goes hand in hand with his perception of you. What was your table image? Depending on your image, your opponents perception of you hand range also changes wildly. So it is very hard to analyze this hand without an idea of what your opponent thinks about you.

I hate your line, but obviously it's a call on the river.
