I think river is a c/f, not sure what worse can call.

Buy when he checks and v beys flop and I'm not sure I can check raise and get called by worse as his range is really wide here to include sets/straights and pair+SD combos.
Looks as if you are beaten by almost his entire range on river. Check/fold.

This isn't to say he doesn't have any weaker two pairs or overpaira like 9/T/J

What weaker two pair? 45 is about it.

Is he calling with those? If not, I don't really see the point of betting. If you sense he is weak, you can check/call. Hard to give this advice when not at table, but from the info I have, it's a check/fold.

If this is the case, then I change my "fold PF" advice to "INSTA fold PF". (And obviously forget the 3-bet option I brought up before, since apparently $20 is a LARGER raise for this guy over a limp, and not a smaller one.)

I'll remove my Pre-Flop Policeman cap after I just emphasize what many others have noted here, that it's just so tough to profit long-term calling with these hands OOP, especially against the strong range you put this guy on. I've noticed it's an uncanny coincidence that once I started dumping these hands in these spots against these opponents, I started cashing out more chips at the end of my sessions.

OK, PFP cap removed. The good news is we got a favorable flop and ended up with an interesting hand to discuss here. (And if you won, then all the better.)
