Thank you. I guess this was a question because turn raises in general at LLSNL are very dangerous. Though I agree it's different when the flop checks through.

Honestly, I'm just trying to post at least one hand from each session because you never know what you'll learn by posting a hand.

So that means air, take a note and realize he bluffs not based upon texture or range but based upon action. And unless they're a fun player whom you want to stick around, have history with, seen with a fat wad in their pocket, make him show if he went allin. He might only have 1 or 2 bullets to play with and you need the info.

Villain probably mucked 2 clubs. Unless h3 mucked turn, then he is mega-fish.

Cool. So you checking the flop paid off this time and did induce a bluff or a bet with a weaker Ace, but if he turned over 99, A9 or 9T, you would be kicking yourself for having checked the flop.

Typical bad bluff by bad player. Your flop check worked in inducing him to bet/bluff. Problem was his flop check and turn shove does not make much sense. If he had a strong hand on the flop, no reason for him not to bet in this 3-way pot, especially since we may not give him much credit for betting a strong hand when it checks to him. His shove on turn after your bet looks like a draw that he is wanting to get some fold equity with, which it probably was. Think we over analyze these situations some. But still think we should have bet the flop. If he had turned over A9, 99, or 9T we would be kicking ourselves for having checked.

I’ll check this flop at some frequency specifically to induce. It works a lot. In doing so though I’m committing for stacks on all but the worst run outs. It’s amazing how often V’s read that as an underpaid and will stack off w/ any PP or A.
