sorry javanewt, your thinking process or overall strategy seems to be to avoid all marginal situations at all costs to reduce variance to a minimum.
if you feel like that and approach the game like that, itīs actually fine imo, but youīre likely missing out a ton of value by doing it, and please donīt act like itīs good poker. it might be profitable, but itīs certainly not optimal, and you likely wonīt improve much if you avoid all sticky situations...
fwiw, i still stick to my first thoughts that nothing in this hand is marginal so far by any means. calling pre and calling flop seem to be our best options
