V1 (UTG, $1,200) mid 20s, been pretty active, raising often pre, has been successful in cbetting OOP in MW pots and taking medium sized pots down, so running good but haven't seen anything yet to suggest he's great or bad.

V2 (UTG+2, $500) early 40s restaurant owner, raises ATC pre and insta calls 3bets with that same range, sticky post flop (calls gutshots+). Here to have some fun and spew a bit before heading home.

So, I wasn't in the hand but I saw this action about 45mins into the session.

What are your thoughts are on V1's play.
What makes it good vs bad:

Showing the bluff is a dumb play on his part. Pretty sure he spews off his stack pretty often. You just don't get to see it much because he goes home quickly when he loses.

Unless they have some history V1 is spewing here. Limp/raise bluff doesn't work enough for it to be a good move in general and V2 is exactly the wrong sort of villain to target. It can have some utility against LAGs who will raise limped pots real wide and but will fold non-premium hands to a 3 bet. Against super loose/sticky villains like V2 it's just building a huge bloated pot when your OOP with a bad hand.

Having made the 3 bet preflop this is a good flop for one stab at the pot as V2 will have air a lot. V1 will have to give up if V2 calls though as any further betting is simply burning money.

Showing V2 the bluff is silly bad. V2 is already super loose and sticky, there is little point in trying to tilt him. It just ruins V1's image with the rest of the table.

As Mpethy said, any doubt was removed for me when he shows it. Pretty bad.
