Pot is ~$97
V1 has ~$270 and V2 has ~$470...

...seems like an awfully chicken **** way to play top set

b/c ~$100 seems a little more reasonable imo

Now, I see people do this sort of thing, show after everyone folds, and then proclaim "I didn't want to see another card!".

Brain dead. Love live poker.

This. Some people are scared to death sometimes. Saw one guy shove over two limpers with AA for like $500 preflop because "he wanted to win it right there".

Breaking news: live idiots make idiotic random decisions

Preflop: Good.

Flop: The board is coordinated, but there's no reason to shove here. You get called by KQ, JJ, or TT here when you shove. $80 should be enough to price out draws and still get you action from worse hands then sets.

Just my opinion...

Results:

He was snap called by the larger stack who was up and down and flush drawing.

What hero missed was that the same guy kept talking to his buddy about going to dinner after the next session fee.

He also missed the fact that the guy was making loose calls on almost all coordinated boards all night long and getting there.

So my question is was he stupid to try and push him off still?

My thoughts are similar to the ones spoken here so far raise slightly over pot and get away from any hand that completes the draws.

or

Should he have shoved the turn no matter what ???

You have a monster and crush the board. I'd bet like 60 and pray somebody decides to call down with pair + str8 draw or something

Why bet more than pot? It pushes out draws and screams to all the other players that you have at least TPTK. Make a standard cbet of bet 65-75 and continue w/ the hand appropriately OTT - ie. slow down if the Q of spades drops
