2/5 - 4bet spot with JJ? 2/5 - 4bet spot with JJ?

Game is just starting as a must move and it's 4-handed for the moment. I have maybe 50hrs with V in this hand at both 1/2 and 2/5. He's a bit loose and sticky pre-flop and often takes weird/bad lines post flop. He also 3-bets more than the average player in these games. Not a complete fish but I think he's a weak player. We're $600 effective here.

Folds to me in sb and I make it $15 with JJ
Villain in bb 3-bets to $50
Hero 4-bets to $165
Villain thinks and calls.

Flop: QJ5 Pot $330

I lead $110
Villain folds

Not crazy about my line here so just checking in. I felt like JJ was crushing his 3-bet range and I could go for value since he's sticky and will peel a 4-bet. I also don't mind taking it down as I would be OOP without initiative if I just flat. Thoughts on pre-flop?

On the flop I think a bet is mandatory after I put in the 4b pre. Also this board is wet and it should hit him decently (AK, AQ, maybe KQs etc). I think i'm c-betting my entire range here so I went with 1/3 which also sets up about a 1/2 pot turn jam. Thoughts on the flop?

Thanks

Stacks?

Generally, I like the line. I would be fine with a call (assuming 100BB effective) if we were IP, but OOP I like the 4-bet. I would c-bet bigger, as his calling range is probably somewhat bet-size inelastic and I want that value and to be able to set up an easy turn shove.

Edited OP. $600 effective.

In that case, I definitely want a bigger c-bet.

Grunch

Beautiful. No notes.

The fact that this is 4-handed bvb and he likes to 3 light means his 3-bet is probably super wide.

I think you can mix in more flats on the button but you're oop here so I like 4-betting for value and making the spr tiny so his position advantage evaporates.

with $600 effective I think we can just jam flop here if he's going to put half the effective stack in he's going to put all of it in.

Well played by Hero.

There's merit to occasionally going for c/r vs this villain type, but you mainly want to be c-betting here. Sizing is good IMO.
