We are playing 2/5 early in the morning, 8 handed. BTW this is a $100 spread limit game, no bets may exceed $100 per action.
Villain in this pot is on a massive heater and is up near $2k in last ~20 min.
Stacks: Hero ~ $400, Villain Covers

Hero raises KK utg to $20
Villain calls in MP1
All rest fold

FLOP: 10c9s3c
Hero Checks, V Bets $50, Hero Raises $70 to $120, V Reraises to $220, Hero Reraises $320, V Calls

Hero Bets turn dark ~$70
TURN: As
V tank calls

RIVER: 2h

My question about the hand is relating to how a spread limit game like this would play the flop different than a true NL, if at all. This game historically has been a juicy game but getting 3 bet on 10 high flops is rare without villain having a monster. Just wanted to hear some thoughts.

When you check/raise this flop you should make it the max. It is very draw heavy and villain is not going to make a bunch of sick laydowns for an extra $30 when you have shown a lot of strength and a polarised range. I don't really get betting in the dark, but you are committed so I suppose it doesn't matter.

I don't think the betting would vary too much in true NL, since you would make your check/raise about the same size as I recommend ($150). Villain would probably just shove in response instead of reraising by $100, so you can have slightly more weak semibluffs in your range to take this line in spread limit, since you'll be getting over 3:1 to call a flop 3bet and you can donk the turn into a committed villain.

Good situation to c/r. Looks like a bad flop for the early position raiser and the c/r represents a draw.

The described villain is never folding a 10 either.

making that claim from the minimal info in OP is hopeful.

I think we can fold when the villain re-raises to $220.

eek I read the description "on huge heater" not the spewy fish in title. My bad.

Um, now i want to know how we know huge heater makes him a spewy fish.

What's the reasoning behind this? Btw he's showing down hands on this heater, example river a ace on a 10q26 board after calling two full 100 barrels against kq. He's lol. So far I think most are in agreement to get in on this flop. I'll post results soon

How do you reconcile this:

First of all, I'm not convinced is this villain's wholesale fishiness based on one anecdote of an ace-chase. But I will ask you this: If it's such a relevant part of your read, why isn't it in the OP?

You check-raised the guy, and then he max-raised you back on a very coordinated board. With max-bets laying such huge pot odds at this point, he can't have much of a bluff range, and all you really have is a bluff catcher.

I'd lead out on the flop so if he raises you can pop it another $100. I'm not a fan of the small c/r here because tons of turn cards suck. I like the dark shove though.

Villian probably had Tx. nh

Against a spewtard, it looks like possibly Tx or something like QJcc, J8cc, 78cc

Honestly, I'm probably playing it the same way OTF.
