Villain has been mostly tight and straightforward but im wondering if we should ever c/f this flop vs any opponent

6 handed

V (1300) raises to 35, BTN (covers all) calls, SB (900) calls, hero (2200) calls with TT

J53

Check, check, v bets 90, btn folds, sb folds

What is Villain's position?

I probably just fold the flop. If a tight, straightforward villain c-bets into 3 opponents, I usually give him credit for a hand. Even if we are ahead, the turn is going to be difficult to play OOP. I'd like a call a lot more if we had position.

Villain is CO? I would squeeze pre.

I would normally peel one and fold to further aggression 4-ways. Against described villain it's probably okay to just fold immediately. I still think I'd peel TdTx, though, because of the additional equity and one more clean out.

3bet pre is probably somewhat better but not a slam dunk

Flop I'm peeling one

Fold is fine just make sure you fold carefully and yes peel one with Td

The most important question is what's villain's position? UTG? UTG+1?

So a tight player raises (from an unknown position) and you are supposed to automatically 3bet with TT from the blinds?

You can take TT 5 ways rather than 3betting a tight player's narrow opening range.

Does GTO say to 3bet him? I say GTFO.

as played just fold when a nit is cbetting into 4 other players.

If villain is straightforward he will not fire a 2nd barrel on the turn with worse hands except maybe diamond draws

But would villain bet the flop with a bare aq or ak? If not, you only beat 88/99, rest of the hands have you crushed or close in equity with 2 diamonds (and at least one overcard)

i would fold here as well, you're deep enough where peeling the turn is a possibility

Yeah i agree with this. But i think this is one of those spots where we always give up some equity. Its just a matter of how much. If I was villain this flop looks like the nut double barrell spot with only a jack and a low FD and no real straight draws. Seems like if we fold flop we actually give away less money even tho we beat a lot of hands.

Mid pairs so tough to play

I would nearly always double barrell here targeting weak jacks and mid pairs to fold while charging non nut diamond draws. I think that we have to have specific reads to think v never double barrells.

I thought i had that here but IDK

Result:

Hero calls, turn 5s, hero checks, v bets 180, hero folds
