V has straddled every button to 8 and talks about all the places he played. have labeled him as recreational reg. He has been loose pre and mostly passive post. Here are 2 hands I have seen from him where he was not passive postflop.

Hand 1 he flatted an agro fish's open in MP with KK 500bb deep vs the fish, covered everyone else, raised a 1/3psb from fish to 3x on A93r, checked behind both flop and river on A93T2r

Hand 2 he called a TAG's open on the button, raises TAG's 2/3rd ps cbet 3x 4way on AJ5r, TAG folds, he flashes a J

on to the hand:

button straddle is on (8). Hero has been playing very tight from EP and relatively tight from LP, nothing out of line. Hero is SB, V on the button. 524 effective.

H r 22 KQ (I usually fold this from up front), EP, MP, MP2, CO and V all call
Flop: (132) K69 Hero bets 70, 4 folds, V calls

V paused for 3 seconds and usually does a one chip call and this is the first time he took a stack of 10s and lined them up in a more deliberate way.

Turn: (272) 5 Hero (432 left)

My opening raise size sucked, should have made it 30-40. Standard open was 16-22, only fish opened larger than that. Straddle on didn't have an effect on raise size that much.

Should have bet slightly bigger OTF as MP and V both would overpay for draws.

Now that I'm on the turn, I blanked and couldn't formulate a good plan. I felt my hand is face up as TP while my kicker is worse than perceived by V.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you're basically playing a 2/4/8 game, so effective stacks are only 66BBs.

As he's generally passive (except, apparently, raises to see where he is at with second pair), and has been passive this hand, I have no problem checking here, and usually folding to a bet. The board is pretty dry, and the only real draw (78) got there already, so no need to worry about giving a free card.

If checked back, I b/f river for about half-pot. Even this short, no need to play TPGK for stacks OOP in a mega-multi way pot.
