Shorthanded game. Me and the V have quite a lot of history, and today we've also played 2-3 hours of heads up. A lot of thin value betting and call downs in smallish pots from both sides, he is a good player and better than me for sure, but I've been holding my own this session. He does not tend to make big bluffs against me AFAIK. Biggest pot this session that we played (HU) was when I three-bet ATs, he calls, flop T9x, I bet, he calls, turn T, I check, he bets, I call, river blank, I check, he bets, I check-raise all-in and win against a T with worse kicker. One perhaps relevant session from last time we played together (game was then six-handed): he opens, I three-bet AK from the blinds, he calls. Flop is K6x with two spades. I bet 25, he makes it 75. First time he has made a big flop raise against me all session, so alarm bells are going off, but he could very well have some combo draws as well so I call. Turn is Ks, putting three spades on board. I check, he bets 125 and I am too much of a fish to fold although I now beat nothing. River is another king, I go all-in and he folds 66.

We are four-handed and it folds to me in the SB, I make it 12 with Q2 (no hearts) and he defends his blind.

Flop (Pot 24): Q Q J
I bet 12, he calls.

Turn (Pot 48): Q Q J 8
I check, he checks.

River (Pot 48): Q Q J 8 4
I bet 25, he raises to 75.

I think for a while and then say "So, you don't have a queen, you'd bet a queen on the turn I think, and the same with a straight." to which he replies "Well, I could be trapping with a queen." I read this as strong and not weak, although it doesn't have to mean anything since we've been talking a lot this session.

Call or fold? I don't think he has a lot of bluffs here, perhaps something like AhT or something. I am yet to see him do a random spazz re-raise bluff from my 6-7 sessions playing with him, I don't think this is the time he suddenly shows up with him. My gut tells me to fold, but folding trips in a four-handed game in a pot that isn't too big is hard. Do you call or fold?

FWIW, I have something like 400 behind OTR, he covers, so it would be possible to raise again and rep the boat.

Well you only beat bluffs. I think I fold here.

Stop checking your trips on the turn

You guys have a super nitty history, you’re wanting to fold trip kings ace kicker in a HU reraised pot

Considering you guys are both nits I guess this is a fold

If you are actually considering folding this you are insane.

I thought the question was going to be do we re-raise for thin value.

You're getting 3-1 on a call and you flopped trips BvB. You are winning here way more than you are losing.
