2/4
Saturday night, was a was a loose table but the biggest fish has left. Table sort of tight passive.

V1 - Indian, predictable, easy to get folds out of, semi loose pre and limps with most of his range.

V2 - Tightish passive. Rock. Limps with big hands and some connectors. Doesn't bet much post. When he has, he's not always good (bets a weak ace on the turn in multiway)

V1 limps, my btn with J4hh, I limp. Sb completed, BB (V2) checks.

Flop ($16)
Jd7d4d

Sb check, bb check, V1 bets $15, Hero raises to $50, SB folds, V2 shoves for $270 total (hero covers), V1 folds, Hero????

I thought for about 40 seconds and folded.

What is the best option here = call/fold?
What is the best option before the all in, when faced with the $15 bet,

I feel folding, calling and raising are all reasonable. Obviously when raising I want folds. When calling we want a FH or a non diamond. Folding is good as it eliminates tough decision making.

I personally think in position raising is better as we can check turn, and if safe, call a river bet (we have position and lead)
Oop folding makes sense to me.

We might only have 4 outs.

Sucks to flop two pair on the button and have monotone flop in our face.

In these games that kind of bet is rarely air.

We are presently beat which means top two, a flush, a set or a flush.

Not enough odds to draw against any of them.

Before the all-in we took the shot, and we probably "know where we are" now.

As an aside, it's hard enough to flop a good hand, I don't often try it with J4, sooted or not.

Lol. I rarely, if ever play J4s. After the hand I though "that's what you get for playing it"

+1....let it go and lesson learned. You're always going to be in a marginal spot at best with this hand.

Fold. If you're not already beat the worst hand he's shoving with is AhJx.

With your thinking/logic, seems calling is best, why didn't you flat?

I wasn't thinking as clearly during the hand as a was afterwards.
I usually just fold in these situations and wait for a better spot.
You would call? What is the plan on the turn?
