How would you guys play this hand to get all the money in

v is very tight … saw him flat AK and QQ after a raise and a few calls

He has 600

I cover

I open to 12 UTG with QQhe makes it 45 in cutoff

Others fold. I almost snap folded but whatever.

I called

Flop Qc3c7s

I check he bets 70 I call should I just raise here I honestly think he might fold like AA Or KK

turn J I bet 150 he folds AA

OOP idk what to do here. I don’t want turn to check check and have to bet huge on the river but maybe that’s better than leading turn

Thoughts?

In these situations I prefer to lead into him. Betting like 75 on the flop. Hopefully he raises us and we can just ship it in. At the very least it really difficult for him to fold AA on a Q high flop to just one flop bet.

I limp in but that's me.

We're getting about 18:1 IO to setmine against what is probably an obvious overpair. We'll be OOP but the SPR will be 6, so we could easily play for stacks postflop by donk/donk/donking. So I think I'm cool with a call against such an obvious range, even though getting paid off OOP can be difficult (as seen in this hand).

Again, I would just donk/donk/donk. We can easily rep AQ/KQ/draw here so he's likely never folding. Check/raising gives him an opportunity to make a tight fold, so I'm not doing that.

As played, I think I'm ok with the turn donk. Really depends on how often he manages a check behind here (which would be a disaster), although my guess is he might lean to a bet on this drawy board. Slightly unfortunate turn card as now our two most obvious hands (QQ/JJ) have gotten there.

Against someone who is very tight, you will have to play your draws the same way you play your nutted hands. You can't trap tight players. They pot control too much. In this particular hand, I would c/r to $200 with all my sets and combo draws, pair + FDs and then gii on the turn for PSB.

I wouldnt lead turn. really only repping a set at that point? AQ KQ would all flat his turn barrel. if turn went check check, then id bomb river for like 2/3 - 3/4 pot.

lmao!

I was going to say raise the flop before I read when you lead turn he folded AA. Jesus man. I think you maybe can raise flop small and get him to believe you have a draw. He might be afraid you turned 2 pair.

I don't know that there is any way to get in the money vs this guy though, tbh.

Lol crazy thing is i was lagging it up as well

I think best play is lead small lead small and bet bigger on river… maybe once he realizes he has x amount In he can’t fold

Lol he would be afraid of QJ as well

He obviously has AA or KK here when he's flatting AK and QQ pre.

So, c/r turn if he bets. If he doesn't, lead river.

IME, with these extreme OMC types, you have to let them feel secure and in control. And be very specific and careful where you get aggressive.

As mentioned above just bet bet bet makes it pretty hard for him to fold, but honestly it's not a spot you should ever get into again, just fold pre unless you have aces. You don't win from these guys when they announce they have aces, you steal the other 99% of pots when they don't have the nuts.

Probably better off just folding pre. For max value/spiciness show as you fold.
Unless you start calling wide and bluffing a lot, you probably don't get 10x $30 of value with QQ when you hit.

What draws do you ever have here, x/r flop to $150 would be kind of normal except wtf do you ever have apart from QQ/77/33. Dito. leading flop, as an exploit it maybe works but maybe doesn't ... and are you ever doing it with AQ (do you ever see the flop with AQ).

I'd x/c flop; x/c turn and if turn checks through pray for a 3 to check again; if turn checks and no 3 or A on the river then lead 75%ish pot ... and hope he calls (and even then you probably don't make $300).

Also FWIW 200bb charts have AKo/QQ as mixed 3bets vs. a 2.25x UTG open and no callers IP (HJ, CO, BTN) and QQ as a pure call OOP.

I’m folding pre, the alternative being calling him really wide and bluffing every flop without an ace or a king. In other words we would turn our overpair of queens into a bluff on most runouts.
