I'm about an hour and a half into my session at Running Aces and have become quite talkative with the 30 yo woman (Villain) directly to my right. (Talkative as trying keep conversation going, letting me sweat many of her hands, etc.) From sweating her hands, I can see she is playing very loose and there to gamble/have a great time. In conversation she has said she has been playing for many years, but took a hiatus for a couple of years and is now just getting back into playing again. To me it seems like she knows the game and is there to have some fun tonight.

For the time I have been at the table I have played pretty TAG and stayed out trouble spots other than laying down top two, to a "said" straight after the turn with a different Villain not in this hand. Hero is sitting on $150 at the start of the hand, Villain with about $130:

1 limp UTG, a limp by our Villain, and Hero picks up AsQc and makes it $10. Action is folded around to the BB, who completes along with the UTG limper, and our Villain. Before the flop, our Villain says something along the lines of, "I have a bad hand," (Very believable in my view)

Flop ($41): 2 3 4 (2 spades)
Action is checked to the Villain who bets out $14, Hero calls bet with purpose of floating to see a 5 or another spade. Other action is folded around.

Turn ($69): 5 (Non-spade)
Villain bets $18, calling it a "friendly bet", Hero raises to $80, Villain shoves the rest in and Hero calls. River is a blank.

Villain shows J6os to take it down.

I'm posting this to see if this is just BBV, or if there are some other ways I can go about this hand. At first, after saying that she had a bad hand, I put her on two pair after the turn bet. Obviously I should have made it like $14 or $16 preflop to get her to fold. By my TAG image, should I have raised her flop bet? How much?

Raise to more than 10 pre.

Fold the flop.

You float when you're in pos. on the pf raiser and you think (s)he is c-betting 100% but not double barreling too often and you'll fire ott when (s)he checks. What you did is pray for a gutshot to hit or hope for a draw, which is still not a made hand.

Ok I guess my definition of float is wrong.... Oops. Yeah fold the flop probably is the best play, but I would like to see what others have to say...

Why did you raise turn? What hands do you think are calling the raise after betting into you on turn? I would have called turn and called a reasonable river bet, or bet half pot if checked to. Also raise more pre, $15-17

Raising the turn is pretty terrible of you. It was a friendly bet and then you were mean and aggressive.

In a just world, a set. Of course, $2NLHE is not a just world.

Please list the 18 "outs"

Hint: cards that give you a draw are not outs.

You have the 4 5s in the deck to hit the donkey end of a straight and another effective out with the back door FD.

Clear fold on the flop. Especially since even the densest fish at the table will have you on an Ace if you raise on the turn.

Floating the flop is fine. Not only do we have outs to improve, we can rep over cards if villain shows weakness.

OTT what hands do you think you're getting value from on a 4 straight board? Raising accomplishes nothing. We're most likely chopping vs. her Ax or crushed vs. her 6x if she continues in the hand. Its an easy call.
