Haven't posted in a while, but today an interesting hand came up and I would be happy to hear some insight.

The game is 10/20 HKD (equivalent to 1.5/3$). Played at a poker club in Asia where most regulars know each other.

5 handed table at around 4am. Hero is mid 20s white guy, regular and is perceived as a TAG. Villain in the hand is 30 Asian guy, who played about 50% hands this session, either by limping or raising limpers from straddle/button. Likes to peel a lot & capable of bluff raising occasionally.

Hero stacked the villain for 200bbs about 10 minutes ago, then he took a break, came back and shoved 300bbs 1st hand over my 3.5x open & showed a 5. Then limp reraised to 50bb when i raised AJo from SB, both hands I gave up.

Stacks pre: Hero- 8400(420bbs), V- 6000 (300bbs)

Hero is in SB with QJ spades. Villain limps UTG, 2 other players call. Hero raises 120, V calls, others fold. Pot is 300.

Flop Ac 9c 8s, Hero bets 160, V calls. Pot is 620

Turn 7s, Hero bets 320, V raises to 1120. Hero?

Appreciate all the comments and will post the rest of the hand later on. Thank you!

I like pre. OTF I would c/c. Not sure about the turn. I'm kind of disposed to bomb it but it just depends on what kind of fish this is. If he's the kind of fish to give up OTT, definitely. If he's the kind of fish who loves his weak aces, and won't give them up for anything, I might check, see if he prices me in for a draw. AP, you kind of made a mess out of the hand post-flop. You should cash in your chips and start drinking. Get up early tomorrow and read the bet/fold COTM.

Pre I would just call against this V. He's capable of limp raising, which would cause you to fold your hand. He's also never folding to your raise and you'll be playing OOP. Not a fan of bloating the pot here.
Flop: I'd probably check call instead of lead, but as played, continuing initiative makes sense.
Turn: well, with this hand, against this V, let's GII. Probably never folding 3rd nuts here.
When he raises, his range may be heavily weighted to Ax hands with As. AT with a spade has top pair and two draws, very tasty. If he's playing 50% of hands, he easily has any A. He might raise AT UTG. So that might be less likely. He could get very frisky with A6 on this board, as well as all two pair hands.
If he has a better flush, bummer.
