Sorry for posting results, but I just want thoughts on this line.

Hero ($330, SB) has squeezed a couple of times before and got everyone to fold preflop so I guess V decided to play a hand this time.

Hero is in SB with TT

V limps UTG, UTG+1 ($100) raises to $7, 3/4 callers, Hero makes it $45

V calls , 1 fishy Asian caller in LP (not too worried about him)

At this point, I don't think he would just "call" with hands that beat us.

Flop ($135): 7 5 4
Hero bets $100, V shoves for $255, fold, Hero calls

V flips over A Q

I just wanted to know if I play this hand right? I am NOT calling to set-mine with TT in SB, when there's a weak UTG raise from a shortie whom I'm not worried of. Also, there's lots of dead money pf when it gets to me. OTF, I think I'm almost always ahead since those cards shouldn't hit their range.

What makes me doubt my play is Stove saying AQ is 53% to win here.

Seems fine. Would be nice to have a read on anyone in the hand apart from their race though.

Yeah, but you can't exclusively range him to a club draw with overcards. But let's say villain flips his hand up after his AI, calling is still correct. V just happens to have 15 outs giving him that slight edge in a coin flip. But look at the pot. You're $100 flop lead is standard, then you're asked to call $155 into what is now $400. Folding is setting money on fire.

I don't see a problem with this line. Sorry you lost the flip though.

TT raise is fine if you're squeezing a balanced range and raising to some really decent amount over limpers ($7 raise? haha). personally i can't stand taking a high variance preflop line into a table you can generally crush for low variance value post, but your line is fine if you like squeezing vv this company.

great flop now gii. nice cbet sizing obv and ul if he flatted AA or ignored setmining odds to spike a set otf. u should be super happy to see the draw and just shrug it off. don't believe the hand was misplayed by anyone.

This is your problem right here (this type of thinking).

How would you feel about your play if he flipped over a bluff?
How would you feel about your play if he flipped over the nuts?

We're playing against a range of hands, not a single hand. So when he flips over AcQc, that could be the top of his range, which means we made a good call, or it could be the bottom of his range, which makes this a bad call.

The only question here is whether TT is ahead of his range.

If he showed AQ, would you feel you played it well?

Played it fine, line of thought fine, if you lost and think it's a bad play...not fine, in the long run you'll be way ahead of a lot here

Most tilting posts by far in strat forum.

OP, I wonder what other hands you think he has. In my games the 3bet gets smooth called by JJ,QQ so often their range is big clubs and overpairs. So I'd be less happy after seeing the flop shove. If your read is that a bigger pair never just flats you preflop then it's fine.

Ofcourse a bigger pair flats me preflop, but if you notice, V limped UTG. He is never limping JJ/QQ UTG. And KK/AA is obv limp/reraising and not flatting my squeeze.
