SB: I've played a total of about 30-45 minutes with him in my life, all being over the past 3 or 4 days. He is a 2+2'er. Seems laggy preflop and good postflop. He probably sees me as a nitish 35 year old who won't get out of line much.

The hand:

effective stacks: $350

I am in middle position with 99. EP player limps $3, I raise to $15, folded to SB who calls and EP calls.

Flop: T97r

check, check, I bet $40, SB calls, EP folds.

Turn: 4 (I don't think it put a backdoor flush draw on board)

check, I bet $70, SB calls.

River: K

SB checks, I stare at the board for 10 seconds trying to figure out what hands I would be able to get value from and...?

Let me guess, villain had a straight and you got stacked?

BBV is the other way.

Ok here is my thought process, 2pair and sets check raise on the flop and an overpair probably does too. So his likely flop range is either a draw, some type of pair, or some combo of the 2.

After I bet the turn I figure he likely puts my on at least a pair, most of which beat his single pair hands. I figured he would probably fold his pairs unless he had a draw to go along with it.

So on to the river. None of his pair+draw hands got there. I don't think he sees me as a person who can fire 3x's with AQ/AJ or whatever. Hence me wondering what hands I can get value from.

Sorry if this is a super standard shove or whatever. I have played LHE for many years but now am pretty much forced to play live NL if I want to play poker since Black Friday. I am trying to improve my game and my thought process and am looking for feedback.

Grunch

His range: T8, TJ, KT, (QT would have folded turn so no on that one), AT.
Considering 253$ is in pot and you have ~225$ left you have two options (both of which consists of betting):

A - Shove, try and get max value, put the pressure on him with his AT/TJ/QT. You will get instacalled by KT (if you got that fortunate.)

B - bet between 95$ and 125$ (guarenteeing a call). AKA valuetown.

It's all read dependant on how capable villain is of making an all in call with TPTK or two pair on this board. I think QT+ is likey so I might opt with the valuetown. But again, I don't know villain personally/ I wasn't there so I don't know if he's capable of calling all in.

im betting $115 n folding to a raise because live 1-2 1-3 players wont call call shove bluff ever....so the 115 is enough that looks like A-10ish/bluff n might get called by a bad 2 pair or 1 pair hands but a shove means ur beat
