Unknown MAW on button can have all broadways, lots of SCs. All PPs bellow AA and KK (and sometimes AA and KK).

Basically, I think we are just making a protection bet OTF. I know that this should rarely be our primary reason for betting, however I think this is an instance where it is fine, particularly since these are probably not players who are likely to abuse us for doing it.
We aren't so ahead of a tight players range that we should be protecting a pair of sixes. I think we are actually not in great shape vs these two ranges.

board: Ts4s4h
Hand Equity Wins Ties
6h6d 36.71% 218,817 3,662
50% 31.73% 185,800 10,030
50% 31.56% 184,771 10,032

Not only that there's a rec player on button and rec players aren't known for folding. And they both have position. If they checked to you I can get behind protection, at least then u have more information to go on.

At least bet bigger and make broadways uncomfortable. I really hate betting half pot on the flop, it is the worst way to play the hand imo. No way to make money off the hand, should just c/r or c/f.

This is the way I'd look at the flop bet as well, and against straightforward ABC players (my vibe on the read, I could be wrong) a very small bet simply protecting our equity against overcards that aren't going to float is fine.

If opponents are more tricky and can see thru this, then yeah, maybe not.

20 into a 45 pot isn't anywhere near close to a PSB.
PSB means "pot sized bet." The pot is 45. Think about your river bet. Tx and a busted flush draw aren't scaring anyone on the river that has called this down.

River seems fairly close. The more hands like KQ with a spade you folded out on the flop the better this will be. If you are never folding out those hands then this won’t be profitable. You are probably folding out her 18 combos of Tx that you beat but you lose to overpairs, A4, 44, flush draws that made a pair and TT. That’s about 33 combos but she might raise some of those. Then there are all the hands like KQ with a spade that I don’t know if she still has.
