H on button with 700ish stack
MP is tilted and as already spewed about 3 BI in an hr and claims to have lost 2 grand in roulette earlier in the night. Just rebought for 220ish a few hands ago
BB has cbet shoved 4 times since sitting down 2 hrs ago. Has about 275 in stack

H dealt AdAc

Folded to MP
MP raise to 12
Folded to H
H 3bet to 35
BB Call
MP Call

Flop 8s4s4 (106)
BB donks 65
MP shoves for 185
H calls
BB folds

MP shows 7c6d
Aces hold hero wins pot.

A few mins after this hand a solid player who I respect told me he would have re-shoved the flop. Hero flatted to try and entice BB to shove because I felt he was very weak and he LOVES to shove for no reason. My question is this: would you flat or re-shove and why?

If we flat the MPs shove, BB will be being asked to call $120 of his remaining $175 stack.

If we shove, the BB will be being asked to call his $175 (just $50 more than the flat).

From the perspective of his stack, there isn't much difference. I mean, if he's calling $120 surely he's calling $175.

If we flat, I guess it shows slightly more weakness on our part and perhaps he gets more confident with his 99/etc., but typically only if he's ******ed and can't hand read (I mean, what are we playing this way that 99/etc. can beat?).

Course flatting risks scare cards (such as an A/K) on the turn which possibly prevents him from getting in his last $50 with hands like 99, although with so much already in the pot I'm not sure he can fold.

I'd probably lean towards a flat because never underestimate the ******edness of our opponents. Here's a hand I recently had. Villain limps TT, I raise AA, he flats HU OOP. SPR is a pretty small 3 on the flop which is 944r. He donks pot. I call, even though I think this probably turns my hand face up for exactly what it is (a big overpair, ldo?). 2r turn. He shoves. Did my flat on the flop convince him that his smallest overpair was somehow good even though any moron could see otherwise? Would a shove convinced him to perhaps manage a fold on the flop, even though calling is just as strong? People are morons, so I would play to this and lean towards a flat on the flop.

With BB only having ~$50 more than the shove, I don't think it really matters if you flat or shove yourself. BB knows he's playing for his stack either way, and you look strong no matter what you do.

Some Vs will perceive your call as weak and possibly a flush draw, some Vs will perceive it as a nutted hand that's hoping to bring in the player behind. So it really just depends on the BBs mindset. It's a moot point in this particular instance though. You playef the hand fine.
