Hero - super tight image [$221]
V1 - TAG, solid player [$500-ish]
V2 - LAG, not afraid to barrel on all streets [$600-ish]
V3 - aggressive, moderately tight [$400-ish]

Hero has 5c5d on BTN in 1/3 NL game that has played a bit bigger.

A few limpers.

V1 in CO opens to 15.
Hero calls. V2 UTG+1 calls. V3 in MP calls. Other limpers fold.

[$67] Flop 4s 5h 10h

V2 checks. V3 checks. V1 bets $25.

Hero calls $25. V2 raises to $80. V3 folds.

V1 tank folds.

Does Hero call with middle set and $116 behind, or rip it in right there? Anything Hero should have done differently?

I doubt he is doing this with Air multiway and hence can't fold with so little money left....no Brainer ship.

As played move all in. You shove might be taken as a draw and get called wider. Mostly though it won't make much difference at that point. If villain is bluffing they fold no matter what you do, if villain has a draw it depends on how good the draw is, if villain has a set they call and your ahead half the time.

Preflop is on the thin side calling the raise with a low pair. You are scrapping the bare minimum for a call and should be looking for effective stacks $300+ against an opponent you describe as solid.

Post flop you could raise yourself rather then call the $25 but it really won't change much. It will push out V2's bluffs and some of his draws but also charges other draws such as V1/V3 having a flush draw. The sets are still getting the money in. V2 must have limp/called and a lag should be more likely to show up with 44 then TT in that situation.

Hero did end up jamming after V1 folded.

V2 thought about it briefly, then called with 8h6h, combo draw. I wasn't surprised at all. I was hoping to see 44 or maybe AT, but there were a lot fewer of those combos available. Since he limp/called pre-flop, I didn't think TT or any overpair was reasonable, nor complete air.

Runout was Kc (yay), 9h (ugh) and Hero lost when favored 2:1 after the shove. C'est la vie. Can't fault villain for calling, he was almost certain to be live and have better than the 25% or so equity he needed to call.

I suspect that V2 was putting a squeeze/semi-bluff on V1 with the raise, hoping to get him to fold and then that I -- super knit, from his perspective -- would lay it down too.

So shallow no question all in.

Pre I would probably fold 22->55 this shallow but there's little difference between 55 and 66 which I would call.

V2 is pretty committed now and is closing the action so he's going to call it off almost always I think. If we covered him, I'd flat and call down all but the worst boards and then jam river if turn + river bricked or we boat up.
