For the record: my comment was solely about c/f. Mpethy's ire averted.

Instead of blind guessing what villain might have. All we do is cbet for a good %of pot like a normal cbet.

If villain raises we reevaluate the hand. Whoever is picking c/f and c/c is an idiot Imo.

Also hero has perfect position to bet. Original raiser plus first to act

Seriously dude open fold pre if you're going to check/fold that flop (I'm 100% serious). Hahahaha

How the %^*# do my posts get flamed when this is the typical post on llsnl...sigh

I laughed at this post this morning while I was having my tea.

Then when I came back tonight, I couldn't believe it was 4 pages long! I wish my posts got this kind interest.

So beware when playing the LOW LIMITS in LIVE CASINOS.

Don't go broke with your Top Pair Good Kickers. AND THEN blame it on the old man who called your raise preflop with A5. When the board come A56.

???????????

was this the point of your whole thread?

So much leveling by OP and mpethy IMO. You guys are way overthinking this. You raised PF, villain called. You checked an A high board so villain bet. It's that simple. You can throw his bet sizing out the window because you've underrepped your hand so much.

Now, say this is part of your "master plan" and are checking to induce a bet. Well, mission accomplished! He bet, now you call and see a turn. What are you gonna do on the turn now? Bet? c/c? Your line looks so weird that he could easily smell weakness and put you in a tough spot. Or he could get weirded out by your line and just check it down. Either way you're not gonna know where you stand in this hand and it's gonna be really awkward to play. Also, you're missing a ton of value here when he checks thru the flop when he would have called a bet. And what about those times he has A2, A3, A4, A7, A8, A9, AT, AJ? You miss a ton of value by playing the hand tricky. Just bet, bet, bet until he tells you otherwise.

BTW mpethy I agree with your line of thinking regarding the best play being to check if you're guaranteed to induce bluffs where villain would normally just fold, however we have no reason to believe this is one of those cases. Also, villain EXPECTS you to bet the flop here, regardless of whether you have an ace or not. He will likely peel with plenty of worse hands, including 77-KK, 5x, 6x, 78, 34 etc. Again, you miss a TON of value by NOT betting the flop! So stop leveling yourselves, this is live 1/2. Go to valuetown. Play ABC until you have a reason not to.

THIS is the point of your thread? Who says you need to go broke with TPGK!?!?! If you play this scared don't 3bet AQ OOP preflop. Also, MUBS. So, so much MUBS.

No the point of the thread was not to say "dont go broke"

The point was!!!:: Is this is a good fold or a bad fold.

And every pro in the nation decided to give their expert opinions on how i bad the hand was played..

It is funny that hardly anyone give constructive critisism it was all about how "Hero" should CBET

Da fahck is that all about??

It would be like if the thread was "Does this black shirt match with these blue jeans"

All the pros on here would say "You shouldnt be wearing blue jeans"

Ya get the point? I was hoping for a thought process, not a "CBET you loser" response.

Now i have to defend myself from Ignorance. what a great place to discuss STRATEGY

I think I get it now. If you dont play any hands at all, then the old men cannot outdraw you ever with their crap they called a raise with. Is that it?

Check raise the flop to $110. If not, lead for 60% pot.

Never show your big laydowns unless you have planned to do so for a reason. This will lead to the same play later on.
