$1/3

Me ($180): TAG. Super tight pre, super aggro post usually.

I haven't raised in a while, not very active. Im in MP with KJss.

V ($300): Plays 30-40% of hands and is the BTN straddle. Calling station.

I open KJss from MP to 25. V calls, BB calls.

Flop T 9 4

I know hes going to call with almost any piece here, 100% he will call with 97 and even possibly with 45. He doesn't raise with big draws and also doesn't know that stack sizes exist. I think if I bet flop I have to PSB shove any turn if the BB folds.

He does fold often enough on turns/rivers but his calling range is so gigantic on flops since he almost never raises. I think it might be a leak where I just go with any decent draw in this spot because I hate giving up the lead in the hand and I figure on this board hes going to bet 50%~ of the time when checked to.

I bet $40 into $80 with the thought that I am going want enough to get him to fold the turn thinking he is calling the flop bet so often with a huge range that doesn't have to be flush draws. I do give draws a great price but if I bet $60+ I am not going to get A9+ to fold on the turn.

Why short stacking?

You can CRAI here but it is a high variance play. To a thinking player, it would look like an overpair or a super draw but it might get through enough to be profitable.

I find it unproductive to figure out what someone at 1/3 is going to call with. They didn't drive all the way to the casino to fold. We need to think about the board.
Does this board hit our range?
Does the board hit V's range?
Which one does it hit more?
Can we bet $25 here enough profitably?
Is he an Ace high calling station or calling with any pair?
When he is checked to and bets this board 50% of the time, is it value that he is never folding?

All of these are good questions but the MVP of questions in small stakes.....
Is cbetting with overs and a gutter vs 2 opponents how we make $ in small stakes NLHE?
