So my regular 1/3 NL game plays more like a 2/5 to even 5/10 sometimes. It's a rodeo for sure. Anyways, I'm playing against a solid loose aggressive and we have some history so I can gauge hand range, reasonably.

I have 5c7c ($450) in the cutoff and call a raise to $15 from the SB ($1600). The flop sees 3 players and AhTc2c.

The original raiser bets $50, the middle player folds and I call $50 knowing for sure he's got AK. The turn is 8d (or something irrelevant). He bets $100 and I think for a second and call on a flyer.

My club comes on the river and he checks to me.

What is my best move?

Preflop action isn't complete. Did we limp after multiple limpers? If there were no limpers I think we should be opening this ourselves in LP. I guess since we're deep and it sounds like we have position on two players, I might also call preflop, but typically I'd like more players.

We don't "know" he as AK. He could just as easily have AA/TT or maybe even KQc or something like that. Sounds like the villain just overbet the pot, so our immediate odds are actually fairly sucky. Are we going to be able to make up the required bets against a "solid" player? I'm not so sure... I think a call of a big bet here might be a little leaky...

On the turn, by "calling on a flyer" did you mean calling without anything close to the required immediate odds / implied odds?

River is world's easiest shove, IMO. The pot is over $350 and we only have $285 left. However, even if villain pays off every single time we barely make up the necessary bets that we needed in implied odds on the turn, making the turn call pretty bad, IMO.

As played, shove and hope to get paid.

I'm not sure why you would put this type of V at the top of his range. I would fold this hand PF since it is very difficult to get a proper pay-off against a solid player.

If you are looking for steal equity, or hit and double-up, then RAI OTF. Not a proponent of this move, just saying that may be a plan.

If you know the V has AK OTT, why did you call $100? You are only going to hit a club ~18% of the time OTR, thus you would need > 4-1 expectation. The only way you get that return is if the V doubles you. Since they are solid, I think your call was very ambitious.

does not compute.

pre, flop, turn are lightning money on fire.

and how does he check to you on the river when you are sb?

Raise or fold pre. The way the hand pans out a good villain is putting you on clubs and clubs alone, or he was rinning a bluff.

It is incredibly hard to get paid off in these spots when you have shown zero aggression until the flush completes.

If he check/calls any amount on this river with worse your read is wrong.
