Hi all,

New 1/3 game

Effective stack is 300

V1 has me covered. MAWG honestly no real reads on him.

One V limps UTG I raise KJ on the button to 15

SB calls, V1 calls in the BB and UTG CALL

60 Flop K24 rainbow

UTG leads for 15 which I was gonna bet 20 anyways on this super dry flop.

We kind of think about raising this to 45 but call

V1 calls BB

(105) turn 8 completing rainbow

Checks to me.. idk what to do I think about checking think about going like 75% pot but bet 25 bc I want V’s to check to me on river

V calls

(160) River A

He leads 50

Thoughts?

turn is kind of butchered. I go 65. As played, 50 to win 210, is he bluffing 1/4 time? if you thnk that he sniffed weakness from your crappy turn bet and is playing the ace, call, but for the most part Aces are in an utg open range of an average 1/3 player.

assume the other V folded to your $25 turn bet?

Ha, preflop result is why I'm totally fine with just overlimping (or even raising very small as sizing obviously makes little difference to whether we steal the blinds vs go lol 4ways from the Button after just one limper). Assuming we didn't expect this result, unlucky.

I think we should seriously consider folding to the donk, but I don't mind calling for this price to evaluate what happens on the turn (where I'm mostly in fold mode to any more action unless perhaps we get a great price again).

If the turn bet is going to enable us to check back the river for our own price, or we can easily fold to a river donk, then I don't hate the turn bet. But I think I mostly just check back here 3ways which is more likely to get me to showdown (although perhaps not at our desired price depending on what size river bet we face).

Think I mostly just fold the river in spite of the price. There's literally one draw on the flop (53) and it got there; otherwise, there's really nothing he can be bluffing. Is this really how KT/TT plays their hand, by donking river when our likely AK gets there? Not in my experience.

ETA: HH is confusing as I thought V was UTG limper (and yet I'm still finding folds along the way). If V is BB then his range is *much* stronger (first to call the raise preflop, called flop/turn bets with UTG still to react, AA/KK/AK are much more in play in his hand than UTGs hand, etc.) so even more reason to fold river.

Why so small on the turn? Like we have a pretty strong hand here. Let's get value.

AP we kind of set up this crappy situation w/ our small turn bet. Sizing is small as well. I think we have to pay it at this price.
