I am wondering if I played this optimally. I won the hand, obviously, but I question how I played all streets.
Hero BB ($340). Probably viewed as weak-tight and lucky by V1. I folded to several c-bets and raises from V1 so far. I did double up through him to about $450 earlier when I called his flop bet then raised his turn bet all-in earlier in the day with 7
9
on a 5
6:
7
Q
and villain called with 6-8. I have not played a hand in probably an hour before this hand came up, and I was getting quite bored.
V1 Button ($350) competent LAG. Plays aggressive in position. Double-barrels fairly frequently. I haven't seen him show down trash, and is generally well ahead when cards go to showdown. Always seems to raise his button when limped to him. After I stacked him, V1 moved to the left of me.
V2 UTG ($200). Basically an idiot. Aggressive in the wrong place. Makes stupid raises. Can't fold when clearly behind.
PF
V2 calls, HJ calls, CO calls, V1 raises to $10, SB folds, I call with 5
6
. V2 re-raises to $20, V1 calls, I call.
Flop 4
7
8
(pot $61)
I check, as I think I have relative position to an aggro-donk and a LAG. V2 checks but V1 obliges and C-bets $35. I call, hoping V2 is going for a c/r, but V2 folds (WTF?).
Turn A
($131)
I check, V1 bets $70 and I call. (would a c/r have been appropriate?)
River 2
($271)
Hero bets $45 to induce a raise from V1. V1 complies and raises to $100. I push all-in, villain calls. Villain doesn't show.
Please comment on all streets. By the way, I realize that being bored is not a reason to call with unsuited connectors in the BB to a small raise, but against the button, I thought it may be reasonable.
