So it's late at night and there are only 2 tables going. Our table broke and is down to 4 players and the floor says I can't switch to the other table, so I decided to stay because I thought it would be a good learning experience since I'm not used to playing so short-handed.

The other 3 players:
1 guy who came over from the 5/10 game that died, looks like a grinder. I'm getting solid TAGgy vibes. He's on my immediate left.

1 asian lady playing LAG. Plays almost every hand. She's two to my left.

1 tight/loose passive older guy. He's on my immediate right.

So the guy to my right is usually straddling every hand (which I hate because I'm in the blinds 4 handed so often that if forces me to either raise vs. these sticky players (Asian lady and passive old guy were calling every raise, TAG was only calling like pairs and big cards) or limp/call Asian lady. Limp/folding wasn't really part of my game plan.

So what hands are you raising with in the blinds/on the button, what hands are you calling with, and what hands are you folding?

First I'd seat change to have position on Asian lady. We would obviously need stack sizes also

having old guy on your left and asian lady on your right would be ideal but I don't like to move around short-handed. You want to keep the game going and moving might push someone towards leaving or entice others to start seat changing too and then you're playing musical chairs.

Stack sizes matter a lot.

Short handed in low stakes games I am generally going to be 3betting a lot more because people react very poorly to that. Generally they will make the correct adjustment of raising preflop more often and the correct adjustment of calling raises a bit wider but most players just have no idea what to do about 3bets because they're not really a thing in full ring low stakes. So they might fold all the hands they would fold facing a 3b in full ring plus all the weaker hands they are now raising and calling raises with because it is short. That is good for you. They might also intuitively realize you are 3betting more often and call planning on folding when they miss the flop. This is also good for you.

I would probably be valuebetting wider and calling wider. It is hard to make a hand and harder still for someone to have a hand when you have fewer players. Optimally, ranges in all situations would be wider. That said it is important to pay attention to your opponents because they may not get that. Sometimes players will just bet one street with top pair and then pot control like they would in a full ring game. You probably can't value bet second pair against such a player.

Just adjust I guess :s

Try to play more pots with the 2 weaker players

I'd get up and leave if that's how I felt about it. That's what you're going to be focused on. As such, you're going to lose a lot of money.
