Hi all,

V1: has around 600. I have not seen him raise pre yet. Hasn’t really played many hands at all. I have only been playing with him for an hour though. He’s a middle aged Caucasian male.

H: youngest at the table. Severely card dead so far. Haven’t played a hand either. I have 400

OTTH: one guy limps. V1 raises to 6 in the cutoff folds me to I have black AA and raise to 22. Limper folds. V calls

(48) Flop Qd Jh 10s

We check? He bets 25 and I check call

Thoughts here? I’m not too sure who has the range advantage here. We can both have AK I guess. He’s prob more likely to have 10s but I think I’m slightly more likely to have QQ and JJ

TURN: 7d

We check he bets 50 we fold

Standard?

As played, call him down. Folding turn is too weak. Betting flop is also ok, which is what I prefer.

This is certainly an unfortunate flop, but I think it's weak to fold (especially when you have outs if you're behind).

Either bet/fold or check/call both flop and turn.

Anything to make of the weird $6 raise? Stacks are difficult in that it'll take too large a 3bet raise to setup a trivial stackoff postflop with an overpair (we'd have to go like $55 or so and I'm guessing that ain't gonna get much action). I'm not in love with our raise sizing as it'll create an SPR 8ish with us being OOP; at least if we were in position we could pot control and take stacks out of play postflop, but OOP he can easily make us play for stacks by just betting each street. With only 1 other guy in the pot, I actually might just flat preflop and play a small pot postflop with a disguised hand just 3ways where I don't put stacks in play postflop UI (which we really don't want to do unless we can get in a lot more money postflop). I'll definitely be in the minority on this and get flamed for that, but the deeper stacks become the more you can do stuff like this (and while we're not incredibly deep we're not short either).

Pretty craptastic flop. I'm fine with check/calling.

I actually don't mind our check/fold on the turn either. A 3bet is a 3bet is a 3bet, and that's what we did preflop, so our hand could be a little face upish, and yet this tight guy who hasn't gotten involved yet doesn't seem to care (even when we check/called the flop). When tight guys continue to put money into a pot versus a preflop 3better I think exiting at this point is ok on this gross a board.
