Hi all,

Been here for half an hour.

V. Only has like 120 to start the hand I cover. Seems a bit loose but idk I haven’t really plyed with him enough to accurately say that

He limps LJ cutoff limps I raise to 18 with AsQd

Both call

(58)

Flop 10c2c3c

Checks to me and I check

Turn Qh

v bets 15 other v folds I call? Very easy call

(88) River Kd he bets 40

Thoughts?

We lose to a lot here

I would probably jam turn given his short stack and the fact that our hand needs protection. If he's playing shortstacked he's most likely not great so he can call you with the nut flush draw with bad odds, and there are many other hands that will call. As played you can fold river, you can have many better hands, including a K, or some queens with a club. Plus the river hits your range more than his, so him betting on this card is quite strong.

$25 pre; flop and turn are good; I'd probably call just because I see so many 1/2 players do stupid stuff like bet QJ, Q9, or AT here.

Value jam turn, AP river is close we only have to be good like 22% of the time but we are obv behind all his value and I don't think this is a bluff. If he can valuebluff dumb stuff as sixsevenoff said then I'd call it.

I'm fine with preflop.

I'm ok with flop. I don't hate a small cbet.

I'm fine with turn. ETA: Just noticed his shortstack on the turn; yeah, totally cool with a jam as others have mentioned. We setup a trivial commitment spot against him due to preflop sizing, and while we didn't hit a committable hand on the flop, we've now backed into one on the turn, so I now commit.

River really comes down to soul reads. Does he bluff at all? Does he ever show up with naked busted Acx here? Really read dependent. I think in general I would typically lean to a fold against most opponents (as most opponents aren't bluffy enough), but obviously this is very opponent dependent.

Turn is an easy jam. As played, I probably call, but I don't mind a fold. He can't expect you to be very strong, and he could have QJ or Q9, but he could have us beat. Soul read for $40.

It's close. I'd probably call vs some opponents. I've read recently that marginal plays don't affect our win rate much, so if you folded here, no big deal. If you had AK and he shoved a larger sum, it'd be a different story.
