Hi all,

I have 450 to start

V1 has 210 pretty aggressive older guy

V2 : young guy. Playing way too many hands pre. Aggro as well.

H: tight image and V2 covers me

OTTH I Open AdAc to 12 button calls V1 calls SB V2 calls button

(48) Flop Jh2h5s

Checks to me I go 30 button folds V1 check raises to 60 total V2 cold calls the 60

I was gonna Jam if V2 didn’t call now I’m in a weird spot. Should I call and play turns that aren’t hearts accordingly

Lordy. If V2 hadn't have cold called the pot (with your call) would have been $120 and you were going to jam ~$400. Sounds like a good way to only get called by a set.

V2 cold call is likely a draw. V1 may be on a draw as well or have a made hand you are ahead of. Raise to ~$185 and fold if V1 jams. If only V2 calls, which is likely if he is a fish, jam any non heart turn.

Edit. Can't fold to V1 jam as you have effectively put him all in. Was thinking effective stacks were $450. So he is irrelevant to the rest of the hand.

I always gonna put V1 all in after he raised to 60

But things change when V2 called

Do you really think V2 is just calling a min-raise with a set? Or any other hand that beats you? Put yourself in V2s shoes and ask yourself if you would just call if you flopped a set.

I'd probably raise/jam. Not super happy about it, but still prefer raising to calling.

Raise, 150 - 200. We can still theoretically find some folds vs deeper villain on turn, we seem a bit deep to ship.

If Button/CO has about the same stack as V1 in the SB (i.e. $200ish) then I probably open to $20 (reasonable in this game, yes?) and hopefully get it up against one of those stacks where I've setup a trivial commitment spot; if deeper BB calls then at least I'll be in position where I can pot control postflop. If Button/CO/blinds are at all aggro, I also wouldn't hate an open limp (and then evaluate whether I need to limp/reraise or perhaps might just flat a raise if it's HU against a shorter stack with no other dead money).

I'm ok with the cbet on this drawy board.

Not even sure I'm totally cool with a jam against lone V1 given we only got in ~5% of stacks preflop and he's check/raising in a multway pot against a tight player (although if he is super aggro / overvaluey / etc. then ok I guess). But with deeper V2 in the mix I definitely don't. I typically go by my own rule that if I'm not able to fold to a check/raise then I don't bet; I bet, so I now fold. Yeah, good odds and in position, but nothing is going to get easier on the turn (what, we're expecting everyone to check a bunch of the time?).
