Even without that read--admittedly a weak, archetype-based read since it infers from an hour--we still have population reads.

Indeed. From an opportunity cost GTO loses an immense amount of money versus playing to exploit:
- Population leaks at $1-3. Prevalent, predictable.
- Then, archetypical leaks after we've gathered a bit of data -- e.g. "He plays like a maniac!" or "This is an OMC type who never bets less than the nuts" or whatever.
- And over time, we get a more personalized read.
GTO won't literally lose money versus staying home, but it won't crush a $1-3 game. Exploitative play will. Relying on GTO just because you claim to know nothing about your opponents is an expensive case of outsmarting yourself.
