1/2 NL at Turning Stone.

Villain (BTN)($58): early 30's, competent player, came to the table a couple of hours ago after busting the $230 tournament.
Hero (SB)(covers): reasonably tight image, 18, stars jacket, had been speaking in a friendly manner with Villain who respects Hero as a player, talking strategy to him after hands and such.

2 limps pre, Villain limps on the button, Hero has Q4 in the SB and limps. BB checks.

Flop ($10)(5-handed): 356

Hero checks, checks around. At this point I'm pretty sure that nobody has a flush because hands that made the nut flush often raise pre-flop, and hands that made a weak flush would have bet to protect themselves from the naked A or K drawing out since we're 5-handed.

Turn ($10)(5-handed): 2

A) How much do we bet?
B) If everyone folds and the button raises, what do we do?
C)If we call that raise and the river is a brick, what do we do?

I think I butchered this hand on the turn which is why I'm asking for help. Thanks in advance.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: people overestimate the probability of flopping a flush. It's pretty small.

(A) $10
(B) Ship since he only has $58 left
(C) All in.

Stars jacket at 1/2? Lol =P And never, ever talk strategy at the table.

A) A PSB for value looks good. I was going to say an overbet, but now I'm wondering how anybody would be calling on that board unless they have overcards with an A or K .

B + C) A raise could also mean any of the above (since that would have ~30% equity which is enough to make a move) or a slowplayed flush. I think you call a raise, which has to be all-in if villain is smart, because he is shortstacked.

I totally understand this, but to be honest, I've played a lot of live poker for an 18-year-old and have to say that my experience is that wearing a stars jacket has earned me a ton of value with my premium hands. Everyone always thinks I'm putting a move on them because I "must be good at poker" so they don't give my good hands the type of credit they deserve.

I'm not hyper-aggressive, but people don't notice at 1/2 when I'm not playing hands. However, when they get in hands with me and I have a monster and I'm being aggressive, donks at 1/2 tend to get in to "I'm not going to let the hotshot online kid push me around" mode and I get paid off.
Just my experience with it.

LOL, sorry, ok...do you ever think about the interpersonal relationships your forming when your playing live, and MAYBE they are decieving you?

-MOST live players think online players are REALLY bad.
-You have tells that you probably dont realize that you have.
-When someone is singleing you out and being nice to you, more likely they are really thinking "OMFG FREE MONEY LOL INTERNET PLAYERS".
-When a live poker player first sees someone thats when they begin to form their strategy and I PROMISE YOU walking around in that stars jacket lets them form accurate strategys against you.
-There is NOTHING WRONG with nobody knowing who you are, and wearing that jacket is like giving them a resume with all your poker accomplishments written nicely in scented marker.
