Well played IMO. You won a huge amount, just cause you didn't get his whole stack doesn't mean you made a mistake. You always have to balance your aggression/passiveness.
The key here is villain never putting you on a 3.

Well now that I have read all spoilers and and know your opponent's holdings:
"Wat? Get it all in on the flop, wat else is thur to talk about???? lolz!"

But in all serious, if I was sitting at some 10NL table online yeah: I'd get it all in against almost any player. But this deepstacked, I think you played the third nuts pretty good.

Villain must have very little respect for you. You played fine, sorta, but I still prefer the bet/call bet/call bet/call line.

Still shoulda 3-bet the flop, imo. The $$ woulda gone in anyway as it was, and you could possibly have lessened the variance of a cooler, and charged him to draw if he was drawing.

Glad it worked out for ya.

How could hero have lessened the varaince of a cooler by stacking off? Also, considering that the villain never put you on a hand as strong has A3 here, I would've thought that means playing the hand deceptively was good and has advantages as if he has an overpair or a draw it may keep betting.

I still prefer b/c b/c b/c for this reason though.

You played the hand fine you won over 200 bbs from the guy. The way you played this hand is how you would play your overpairs this deep so you need to balance that with your strong hands against a competent/aggro player that may just try to run you over with position and deep stacks

Yeah. You did just fine here. Nothing to worry about. I probably puke and call the whole way down myself after the flop raise and am pleasantly surprised when my hand holds up. OOP with 500BB stacks is scaaaaaaary.
