1/2 NLH in Harrah's Cherokee, table is super passive...

8 handed
Hero (UTG+1) (110$ - yeah i'm short stacking because i am now very properly rolled for this game, I think villain senses i'm playing scared money)
MP2 (60$) (very passive woman, 50ish, playing super nitty, scared money as well)
Villain (BTN) (400ish$) (villain has been running it over, i say he's semi competent because he's somehow a winning reg, i saw him do some stupid mistakes, but he definitely knows how to identify scared money and other tells..but i also seen him do some fishy stuff like calling a 20$ raise from an UTG shortstacker from the BB then folding to a cbet)

UTG limps
Hero QQ UTG, I raise to 16$
Villain (BTN) calls
UTG calls

Flop(~50$) K74
Hero checks I dont see any merits in cbetting here, amirite?
MP2 checks
Villain tanks then shoves!

My thought process: From his point of view, I am not checking anything that I would call a shove with...MP2 really cant have much that would call a shove coz she's scared money....so he gets us to fold a good % of the time...

Am i over thinking this?
With SPR of 2.5 how do u deal with such a spot? just c/f flop?

The preflop raise is good if he expects people to call it.

Agree /\/\/\.

But it's an obvious fold on the flop.

oh this was kinda the standard raise that wont get called by the whole table
1 orbit earlier, i had AK EP with 1 limper, I made it 10$ and I got 7 callers...

What do we do when we have less than a premium hand and we want to raise from EP, say AJss/ 77-1010? Are we going to Put in 14% of our stack preflop, and miss or face over cards and fold, or are we going to raise less which gives the strength of our hands away?
Raising less allows us to open raise more with our entire range, and play post flop without committing ourselves before even seing the flop.

I doubt players pay attention or anyone notices bet/raise amounts at this table
