comments on all streets appreciated, but I'm especially interested in the turn/river decision.
1/2NL in Lake Charles. The table is playing deep and splashy. Most players have 300+ bbs.
Hero ($700) recently got to the table and has a clean image. After folding for about 30 min, he won a big pot from a drooler and has started to open up some pots.
V1 (600$): Terrible loose/passive who's looking to give the money away. Hero is doing everything he can to get involved with him.
V2 (800$+): 50 year-old guy with glasses who just sat down after taking a break. He's limped/called a few hands, but no reads to speak of. He looks like an abc nit-donk, but I can't be sure.
Preflop: V2 limps, hero raises to 15 with J
T
. 4 players call, including V1 and V2 ,and we see a 8
8
4
flop.
Flop ($80): V2 checks, Hero bets 40 into 80. The action folds back around to V2, who pauses, cuts out chips for a raise (or pretends to think about raising) and just calls.
Turn ($160): 5
. Hero...
What's the best way to proceed? What's our plan for the river?
