This hand was played a while ago and I"m trying to remember the full details. This was a hand where i had no plan whatsoever at all.
Hero (BB) $280
Villain (MP) $300
I had Jc8s.
There were probably 7 limpers. Pot is $16
Flop comes
5s6s7s
At first i was going to check fold only to then saw... oh wait a minute i have the 8 of spades but i had checked already
Guy in MP bets like $13 into $16 everyone folds. I call.
Turn comes Jc.
This is where i have no clue what I'm doing. Not only do i have the straight flush draw... now i hit my jack. So i have pair of jacks and a straight flush draw. I was just lost here so i checked.
Villain bets like $27 into $40 pot. I call. Is this bad? I mean... i can't c/r here right?
River comes 10s. I checked and he checked right behind and said 2 pair. I showed my flush and table went wow straight flush draw.
In this hand... my mind was pretty frozen. I had no plan at all what to do. Had i not check on the flop by accident because i thought i didn't have a spade... then i wouldn't have gotten myself into this situation. During this whole time... I didn't even try to put him on a hand because the whole time i was thinking... come on 4s or 9s.
When the turn came and i check and hen he bet $27 into $40.... I thought a few seconds and thought he doesn't have a flush but might have flopped a straight. But for some reason... i kept leaning towards him having like A6 or K6 with one spade. But thing is if i think he had that... then i would be ahead when the turn came. What is my best option on the turn when i hit a pair of jacks? Should i lead here?
Then when the river came... I obviously like that i made a flush but i just had the 8 high flush so it was a pretty bad card. So any spade he had... well i lost to. But then again... he bet pretty big on turn so i did thought maybe he doesn't want me to draw to a spade.
Opinions?
