Poker at the Venetian tonight its a $1/$2 game that just started up and everyone's buy-ins range from $100-$300, I bought in for 2.

The table is loose passive with lots of limps pre flop but no real action or big hands yet. I won a few no shows and then won a guy's $125 stack on a hand where I picked up QQ and called his pre flop raise.. Flop was Q high all clubs. He bet I shoved he called and had KK.. turn 6 river 6 both missed I scooped it.

About 1 hour and a half in I pick up 89 early position with three loose but somewhat active players behind in the hand. late pos raise to $10 by this lady who always would raise to $10 and even showed KQ one time when everyone folded. Other guy in hand wouldn't hesitate to call with any middle pair to connectors suited or not. he is the villain.

Everyone calls there's $28 in the pot on flop:

646

My 89 looks good in this hand but I conservatively check in first position planning to call almost any bet.
Check, Bet $10, villain Calls $10, the lady calls $10, I call $10.
Pot is now about $70
Turn:

9

With top pair plus flush draw (11 outs) my initial reaction was way too strong and I led out betting $50 into a $70 pot and three opponents. Hoping I'd take it down and if not, just get a call.
First opponent folds.
Second opponent thinks and after a moment he says all in with $140 total. ($90 more for me).
Lady folds.

Pot is now $260 and I had to call $90 more.
That's 26-9 ... (26/9 = .288 ; 28%)
With only 11 outs here, 11 out of 46 cards (11/46 = .239 ; 24%)

28% > 24%

It costs just a little too much and in the moment when all his chips were in the pot and a hopeful feeling of a club coming for my flush, I called after only a quick thought. I was up in the session so why not?

River is no help.. I think it was like a 5

He flips over 8-6... I knew he had the 6.

After much consideration to the math on this hand, assuming I did it all right(if there are errors please let me know), then I don't think it's that bad of a hand.

It probably didn't have to get so complicated if I would have instead check-called the turn. and seen the river after that..... probably wouldn't have lost so much.

Hmmm....shouldn't the pot be closer to $40 on the flop with four players in?

Fold pre.
Bet flop.

I'm not following how many players are in the hand, eff stacks or how much is in the pot pre and post flop.
As played, I don't love the lead OTT. The action you describe is 4 way? Bet 10, call, V call, lady call?? At these stakes, with four players active in a hand, someone has a 6, and in this case, you know it's not you.
I like the check OTF, and probably check fold there. I hate drawing to straights and flushes on paired boards with action as described, you can easily be against a 6 AND a bigger flush draw.
Check fold flop.
Of course, food pre, though, I totally understand limping and then calling a 5bb raise with 98s, even OOP. It's a very tempting hand. But it's not good enough to limp call with. I'd like this better if you had raised pre flop, then continued flop.
As played, limp fold preflop. Check fold flop. Probably check call turn, and hope for a 9. It will be a mistake to gii with a small flush, so this is a tough spot to get max value, esp OOP.

I hope you realize these kind of impulses render your calculations after the fact irrelevant. It sounds like you are trying to justify the mistakes that you committed without thinking in through at the time.

Fold pre.

My bad.. there was a $7 raise pre flop not $10.
And it was raised by the guy directly to my left.

So pre flop action went:
I limp $2, the next guy raises to $7, call $7, call $7, so I called $7 with good odds pre flop
