Hero opens QQ UTG to $12, 4 callers.

Flop($55): AJ2 Hero checks, everyone else checks.

Turn($55): K checks to CO who bets $10 with $90 behind, 1 fold, Hero?

Fold. You beat nothing 4-way, and while the bet is laughably small, there are still two players left to act and you can't call a raise from either of them. If you're closing the action you could call hoping to bink a Q or T on the river.

Yep, just fold. You rarely have the best hand. The queens or any heart may be dirty. Even if you do catch an off suit 10 there will be a very obvious 4 to a straight on the board.

Reads would be real helpful, thank you.

Void of such, I bet the flop.

As played, I'm never folding to a $10 turn bet from the CO into a $90 pot. Just call and see what happens. Obv you're folding to any raise. You really don't need to be good very often here.

If players call loosely preflop and a 12$ oppening is frequently called by multiple opponents, I would open for more, probably 15-20$. I might make a 20$ bet here on the flop, but once your called your pretty much in a check-fold mode. On the turn it is too late now that 2 overs are on the board, too bad for the queens, it's not worth sticking with them here.

Cam makes a really good point. If you're going to play a hand from UTG your range is obviously smaller but your sizing needs to increase as your range shrinks. It is a good idea to not only change your raise sizing based on your cards but on your position as well, you see a flop with four other people way too often with an utg $12 raise and most of the time they become very difficult to play.

It's $10 into $55. Bettor has $90 back.

even if the king was a small card you might want to fold here as too often you see an ace.
most timid players will check their ace on the flop against an aggressive opener and not bet the jack.

Check is fine 4 ways, c-betting for value OTF is going to be tough since most of the hands we beat will fold and really only Ax will call since we have blockers to the only draw. Turn is a fold despite the small bet because we don't have direct odds to draw to the straight and our implied odds are close to zero since 4 to a straight will be painfully obvious to even the fishiest player.

this is just one of those hands you have to let go even if your hand looks like it has a chance.
