Playing at a table full of regular loose passive players who like to make 1/3 or less pot size bets in their 40s and 50s. Hero is early 30s TAG who's been inactive in pots for the last couple orbits.

Villain-standard regular loose passive in 50s, maybe 60s. 150 behind
Hero has V covered.

Hero dealt A2o in BB
7 players goto the flop ($14): A82r
SB checks, Hero bets $15, V calls in LP while everyone else folds.
turn ($44): A822 which gives me 2s over Aces.
Hero??? Should he check? Bet small? Bet 1/2 pot? Bet 2/3 pot? Bet pot?

Play for stacks.
This is a fantastic card for you as A8+ all think it's the best card in the deck.

Bet $35.
If he calls with out much hesitation ship the river.

If he tanks value bet $50 or so.

Bet $25 to $35 depending on how loose he is. If he can't fold Ax, just bet $50

i remember reading your thread with QQ where you played it pretty passively. when you turn the boat, obviously you want to try to get stacks in against an ace. i think you should be thinking to yourself why you would check the turn or bet the turn. you characterized your opponent has a passive player, so i wouldnt rely on him to bet nor call a check-raise on either straight, so definitely bet the turn.

so he has like 135 behind on the turn and the pot's like 44. if you bet 35 and he calls, the pot will be 114 and he has 100 behind for your shove. i wouldnt bet less or else the river bet might be too big for him to call
