1-2 MGM hangover game at 5:45 AM. 7 handed mostly sane game and I'm thinking I got up early for nothing.

Villain UTG is looser but not loose and I've seen nothing outrageous nor any cocktails in front of him. He's a 35 yo white clean local but not a pro. He's got $220 and I cover.

V, UTG raises to $6 (somewhat standard), called by UTG+1 (tight, $200) and MP (the live one, $90). Hero has the button and TT, 3-bets to $30.

Folds to V who 4-bets to $60. Folds to Hero. I have no illusions here. Based on my table read I'd put his range as KK^, 50% QQ, 5% AK. I'm behind but getting 3.3 -1 to set mine. Doesn't seem like it pays even if I was 100% sure I'd get his stack in.

Does anyone want to call/raise here?

If you're in favor of mucking do you insta-muck or hem and haw about it first? As a general rule and as a TAG I really try to make my big hand laydowns ASAP to generate whatever bluffing disinformation I can.

if you were a smidge deeper I call and feel good about set mining. Stacks are a little too shallow.

I snap fold in these spots. It does so much more than hem and hawing for image purposes. The table will label you are a maniac if you are young.

If you tank fold it makes people feel like they can bluff you more. Your hand looks like a tank fold of JJ, QQ, or AK if you do fold here and makes u appear bluffable in the future, especially since u folded to a min min raise

I don't like the 3bet pre being 100bb deep. I think between the UTG open and a tight player calling in EP, you're getting 4bet enough by their ranges to make this unprofitable.

I disagree with that, so many worse hands will call, and very narrow range will 4bet, i do think that the 3bet size is kinda big...probably around 24 sounds right..I very rarely 3bet an UTG raise at all, but I dont think 3betting is bad...

Fold and don't worry about it.

Not sure I'm 3betting a lot of UTG opens with TT with these stack sizes though. It looks like you're squeezing here and open yourself up to getting 4b by a lot of the hands you beat (AK, AQ, AJ maybe?). You could very easily have set mined against 3 v's for $6 though.

As played, fold. 4-bet usually means you are behind in $1-$2.

I would call pre to set-mine, or perhaps use image & position to make a play OTF.

Fold. Hand was played fine. This 4bet is nutted. Never AK when he 4bets that small as a rec player.

fold. you're range analysis is spot on. if you were deeper, a call would be fine. but here, just let it go.

Not enough value to call. Def think 3 bet pre is fine.
