$500 eff

Hero opens $15 UTG with A♠️K♣️, HJ & BTN call

Flop ($48): A♦️J♠️6♣️
Hero $20, HJ calls, BTN $55, Hero calls, HJ calls

Turn ($213): K♦️
Hero checks, HJ checks, BTN checks behind

River ($213): T♦️
Hero blockbets $50, HJ checks, BTN makes it $165…

Thoughts on my line?

P.S. I saw this old guy minraise a $50 bet on the river on an Axxxx board with A6o. But he also flatted my $10 pre with TT once.

I think I either lead turn or x/call river. You've bloated the pot OOP and have a bad runout but his line makes no sense so I probably call AP

PRE - open size seems a little large. If that's the standard open size in the game, okay.

FLOP - when we're multi-way and OOP as the PFR, I just start with a check. If either of our opponents has an ace they'll bet. They may even bet Jx or something like TT, and some will even stab with worse 1P. Our hand can be a check call to trap or even a check raise for value. Here, our opponents can have enough AJ that I prefer to just check call.

If we're going to c-bet from OOP, use a smaller bet, like $15, or a larger bet, like $35. Betting $20 here doesn't accomplish much if anything. It's not small enough to induce a raise from better nor big enough to fold out any draws or weak 1P hands that can catch up.

TURN - why are you checking this turn card? That's a mandatory barrel for at least 2/3 pot, if not an over-bet. We can get value from all KX that floated us on the flop, and deny equity from hands that were inside straight draws on the flop that picked up a flush draw.

RIVER - ugh. Worst card. Any Q or 2 diamonds beats us. Just check fold. If you want to bet, you should make it at least $80, around 40% pot. That's an amount that looks like thick value hoping to get called after the turn checked through, and isn't likely to induce raises from worse value or bluffs.

Pre and flop are fine. Bet the turn!!! I go pretty big, too: ~$125 - $150. If you check turn, check/decide river. As played, fold.
