10 players at 1/2 NL, we all have about 100BB (200)

The two villains have just joined the table for less than one orbit. The game in general is pretty loose pf, and flat calling pfr is very standard. Players enter pots with any suited A, suited/unsuited (gapped) connectors. Once two players flat call, the others seem to automatically come along ATC.

Villians both limp, and I raise to $15 with AKo. Table folds (rare), and two villains call. Pot is about $45

Flop comes AT6s. Villain 1 checks, Villlain 2 bets $40.

This seemed likely two pair or trips, protecting against a flush draw. Given that all stacks are small, what should I do? Is it a shove/fold situation? Or is there any value to calling and decide on the turn? Raise/fold seems like a spew. I don't think villain makes this bet with a draw, nor with a made flush hand.

I ended up flat calling $40, which I feel is a mistake. Villain 1 calls $40. I fold to a $80 bet on the turn.

What is a better line here? Love to hear opinions!

It would be much easier if you listed out positions of villains and hero, and be more descriptive of board suits and your own.

I assumed that both villains were in EP/MP, and you had position on both?

I also assumed that flop was monotone and you didn't have a spade in your hand?

Yes, please be as exact as possible in terms of EXACTLY how the hand played out.

Sorry! Villains were UTG+1, and UTG+2, and I was immediately after them.

Yes, you were correct, the flop was monotone AT6 of spades, and my AK were both red cards...

I hate raising flop without the Ks...with the Ks, I'm trying to get it in. I prob call flop and possibly get it in on a safe turn with your hand. I agree that they're prob not leading a flush or a lone Ks. However, he might have something like TKs or AJs.

The most important thing in these situations is to have a plan: Decide as soon as possible what line you want to take. IN the event that you want to continue with the hand, POT CONTROL is essential.

Come flop, pot is $45 and you have $185 behind. Villain bets $40, if you call, then the pot will be $125 on the flop. If the Other villain calls then the pot will be $165 on the turn.

So, if you call the flop, come turn, pot will be $125 - $165 and you will only have $145 behind...

So, because pot control is now impossible with the flop bet and you have no K this is a super easy fold on the flop.

You are only $15 vested and could be drawing more or less dead. Just let it go.

This is a great example of a reverse implied odds situation.

c/f flop

EDIT: Playing this out to the river can be +EV if we have solid reads and profiling on our villains and if our villains are prone to making mistakes. But truthfully, imo, this is a high variance situation and given that pot control is impossible, its best to just let this one go
