1/2 at Borgata. Game 10 handed. Hero had been at table for about 4 hours and had been playing pretty tight. Stack about 315.

Hero dealt QQ on button.

Action folds to mid 20's player in lojack who raises to $12. Stack of about $600. Players stack had fluctuated a bit since I was at the table, he had about $600 to start and had been as low as ~$300. Player was pretty weak. Raised a lot of hands pre and gave up if flopped missed and bet the same amounts on all streets when hand was made.

Hero just flats on button.

BB calls $12. Player was white male in early to mid 50s. Very lag. stack of about $700. Player opened and called with a very wide range. Bet lots of flops and called lots of raises.

Flop: 3 4 6 ($37)

BB bets $10. lojack folds. Hero raises to $35. BB calls.

Turn: 3 ($107)

BB checks. Hero bets $65. BB check raises to $165.

Hero? What are your thoughts? Range of BB?

Why didn't you raise preflop?

First off, why on earth would you just flat with QQ OTB??

Range on LAG in BB could be FD's, sets, SD, overpairs, TP, trips, and air.
Who knows? However, based on BB's stupid donk bet for less than 1/3 pot, I would say he is drawing.

I would say 4-bet villain all-in. You probably have him crushed.

This is only my opinion.

there are 3x in his range

i would just flat the flop IP to be honest, we fold out a lot of hands we are crushing

as played i would also check back the turn to get value on the riber

its a WAWB situation

as played i would just shove as he has to call off with draws and 99-JJ given the line hes taken

Check turn on super wet board?! This is not WAWB at all. Very wet board.

Definitely 3bet preflop to $30 or so. As played, easy shove against a lag. We lose to boats and trips. We beat draws and smaller overpairs.

Vs this guy 3b pre and against the lag ship this turn, his crappy flop bet rules out sets and 2pairs usually (until we find out otherwise)

3bet pre since you have position and can take control of the aggression now. Flatting has the merit of underrepping your hand, but can get complicated later

I prob check back turn and see what happens on river

Saying you'd check back turn on this board is as resulted oriented as it gets. Come on.

Not necessarily. We can pot control here for a more reasonable river call, and also underrep our hand enough to get hands like 99 to bet.

As played, snap-fold to his raise. Your perceived hand strength is much stronger than your actual hand strength. This is not often a bluff.

As others have said, you should almost certainly be 3-betting this preflop. If you've been so tight that you don't think you will get any action, then you could always just show your hand if everyone folds and reinforce in their minds how tight you are. Then try to mix it up a little.

QQ on a paired 6 high board with a FD against a loose player who bets lots of flops and calls lots of raises? His range is extremely wide and we should be happily betting the turn. When he c/r, it isn't as exciting, but I'm still getting it in. Villain can easily have draws or lower overpairs. Combos that beat us are very few.
