1/2 overpair 5-way facing donk bet

Villain (CO): mid 30s white man; seems like a reg fish ($400)
Hero (BTN): mid 20s asian man; card dead TAG ($350)
Five limpers to hero who makes it $21 with QQ on the BTN. Four callers including villain despite hero folding for like the last 30 hands (lol 1/2).
Flop: 972r ($106)
Checked to villain who donks $75. Villain comments "it would be pretty funny if someone had 22." Five way, dry flop and villain is donking almost 3/4 pot and talking. Just give up? Also if villain had shut up does that change things?

Frustrating spot. If getting four callers to a PFR is standard, make it more pre.
Some questions about this V: Has he donk bet before? If so, has it been this big of a bet? If so, what did he show? Has he shown the propensity to spew and overvalue hands? Just looking for more info than "seems like a reg fish". The more info we have, the more accurate of replies we can give.
In the games I play, a 3/4-pot lead by an average reg fish is a made hand, especially when the big bet is accompanied by a speech. I would sigh fold and wait for a better spot. I expect to see a set or 79s. I don't expect to see JJ or 10-10 because V didn't raise pre. If he shows a random 9 or a draw, obviously I'll backlog that for next time. I don't always understand donk bets like this, but they tend to be strong hands that they bet strong and are "just happy to take it down now".
I'm sure others may argue that mucking on the flop on a ragged flop is too nitty. But I don't think flatting and re-evaluating is an option. What are we going to do when he bets/jams a non-Q turn? Are we just praying that he checks? And if you argue to raise/GII, I just don't like that either. We saw a flop 5-way and are seeing strong action from a standard 1/2 player. As I said, unless this V has a history of making this move, we can find a better spot than this.
tl;dr - fold

This is a tough spot with 0 info. Personally I would call at least 1 bet because betting there with a hand that beats you is SO bad. if he spikes 97 or a set why push people with over cards out of the pot when (even if it checks around) he call still easily get his stack in with bets on the turn and river?
Raising is for sure the worst play because you only get called by better hands. If he shoves turn I'm comfortable calling anything besides a 9,J or A.

I play a lot of these bad regs who limp call and see this spot quite frequently. 10's would most likely raise but I have seen them limped a lot as well.
His range is mostly 99,77,22,9 7, A9,10 8. Sometimes he has 10's or like 8's maybe.
His hand seems like 2P+ because I feel like 10 8 would put out like a $40 blocker bet or something if he were to bet instead of c/c. $75 seems like a pure value bet and doesn't want it to check around.
I think it's a fold. If you see him limp 10's or lead out with top pair then it's a call. But we also don't want to be exploitable and be folding overpairs so there is merit in a call, reevaluate turn.
I don't think too much into table talk but it can help some.
As for pre I usually go $16-$25 and still go 4 way to the flop. So bet as much as they'll call.

Interesting PF that you got that many. If deep into the session then you 'should know better' .. maybe
I would be more inclined to fold with TT/JJ here since they connect to the board if I hit a set. I would hope that you can take AA/KK out of his range since he wasn't the first caller PF.
Donking certainly has red flags to it, but is he really expecting you to check this through? Or does he just want to make sure that we GII OTT?
I don't like the talking one bit ... unless he has been talking all along. These types of comments in a multi-way pot (at 1-2) are usually not a good thing to hear. I find it's way more often that he is strong rather than trying to get a fold out of you. There is some chance he has TT/JJ, but usually the worst case is OESD or better. Not that we don't want to take on OESD, but I want TT/JJ to be a higher percentage of his range here to offset the sets I run into. This bet size can go either way. He may be a fish, but if he 'is' a reg fish, then he knows this is multi-way and the large bet is needed to get it shut down or draw out hands like yours. He wants to fold out overs AND find out if any over-pairs are out there.
I can fold or stubbornly peel a card here. GL

I forgot to mention he squeezed QQ once, some station cold called K8s and stacked him, then he commented "it's all good I'm way ahead in the long run" which is why I had him marked as the reg type. But I saw him limp call 93s which is why I had him marked as a fish type (forget if it was after or before THIS hand).
Anyways the fact that he squeezed QQ makes it very unlikely he over limps TT/JJ and makes it more likely he has a set. Especially when he says "it would be funny if someone had 22" it just makes me think HE has 22. I really hate calling here to re-evaluate turn especially with 3 more villains still to act. I know it may seem exploitable to fold an overpair but multiway on a dry-ish flop like this is it really?

yeah, really need a better description of V here. YOU'VE been card dead, so you should be getting a better read on V. Is he Loose/ passive? Loose/AGRO? A spewtard monkey? TTBH asked most of the questions you should have asked to make a good decision in this spot.
As described, I peel this bet, as much to see what the other V's do here as to see the next card. If you get another caller or 2 from other V's, I'd be done with the hand for sure as you are probably behind. If V leads the river again for 3/4 pot, then I thinks it's an easy fold. I might want to say nice bluff or something in the hopes he turns his had over, just to get the info.
