1/2 NLHE with 5 bring in 1/2 NLHE with 5 bring in

I am looking to see if anything has been written on 1/2 NLHE with minimum 5 bring in. I made a number of different searches, but couldn't find anything that seemed to hit. (Is it that an extremely rare a variant, or am I just search impaired?)

Thanks in advance.

Bring in is pretty rare at NLHE. I've never played at such a game, but every time I've heard of it, it is just a minimum initial bet size. If that is the case, then 5 won't make a difference at 1/2, 5 would be an unusually small bet anyways.

What it means is that limping is far more -EV than it would be otherwise. And that as the BB you will almost never see a 'free' flop.

But it also means that if people are adjusting poorly there will be TONS of dead money in the pot and that you can likely scoop a nice profit just by attacking the limpers 1 time per hour + your actual solid starting hands. If 2 people limp, you raise to $20 (not sure what a 'good' raise size would be at a normal table 1/2/5 table) you've just picked up $13 if everyone folds. Do that 2x per hour and you're making 13bb/hour or $26 / hour. It's a tough life.
