Was playing 1/2 nlh at PARX table was dead, so I asked for table change. My friend was at next table and he got called for a different game. Flor guy tells me I can have my friends old seat. So when I go to move my buddy walks by me and tells me table is awesome but his seat is bad, I shouldn't sit there. I was like whatever I'll try it.
First hand I buy button and end up folding. Now I get a text from friend about 2 players around whom all action at table is being based. Specifically, villain 1 bluffs every hand and villain 2 overplays every hand. He also tells me villain 1 had over $1k and bluffed most away now sitting with like $400. Villain 2 was down to $12 all in but currently has like $700, by being a luck box says my friend.
So, next hand I'm button with no reads other than text from my buddy, I pickup akdd. With $150 stack. I make it $16 over $4 straddle by villain 1. Villain 2 calls. Villain 2 makes it $35. Both opponents cover me. Now without text from friend and my 2nd hand at table I fold to 3 bet almost every time. But with info, I decided to shove.
Question is did my buddy do anything wrong by giving me info? Did I do anything wrong by using advice?
Also, if I happened to benefit from his advice directly, do I owe him anything?

It's only wrong to give/take advice during a hand.

You would normally fold to a just over min3bet with <100bb with a hand that is dominated by KK and AA only and u hold 2 blockers to those hands? I'm going to advise you to go allin. Thank your friend for the advice but this hands plays itself with or without his text IMHO. With the $4 straddle on you are less than 40bb effective. Anything other than shoving is a mistake.
