Hero($340):1010 UTG , I open to $12, I have TAG image for sure at this point in session.

V1($240):he is on my left, playing fairly snug , hasn't really gotten out of line against me up until this point, he's also up a bunch of money , (just won high promotion for roughly 800) he's shown that he's willing to call down light sometimes and play a variety of hands pre flop that are not so premium like a7off for example.

He flat calls and I get the isolation that I was looking for with my tens.

Flop : 789 (rainbow); I c-bet for $17, He snap raises to $50 tossing in 2 green chips.

What do you do here?

Check flop.

As played you should call. We don't have enough read on whether three betting can actually generate folds from better in this spot.

Call. AP i dont see a problem with betting this flop. You have decent equity against the nuts. And all sorts of draws and weak pairs cpuld call you.

I agree with mommy, he is open ended and has some equity with 10's in this situation. As he said he likes to play A7 os, then he probably will play A9 and think his top pair is good, just because of a weak bet and how he has been playing. Can't go into anymore depth without knowing turn, but probably check no matter what on the turn. Even if you do hit your straight. Can't fold to a $33 raise with the money you put into it already with draws like that and over pair.

I am obviously never folding this hand in this spot. I actually ended up making a big raise here to get value from some 9x hands or push him off hands that have me beat like over pairs, I felt I could rule out hands like 56 and j10, maybe j10 is possible but still unlikely , looking back I just don't really like my raise too much . ( I made it 100 more and we end up getting it in on the flop )
I feel like I am only getting called by hands that crush me but I just didn't want a brick to hit the turn and then have to check fold to a big bet because it will be hard to get the right price facing a turn bet given the fact that I will most likely have 10 outs. roughly 20% equity,

ok thanks for clarifying that for me. seems like people are implying that I should bet/call or check/call. so I guess my question is how bad is my raise on the flop? I definitely felt some mistake tilt after this one thinking "wow why the **** did I do that" lol definitely the one hand in the session that I had to post about because I don't like my play , but would you say there is no merit to 3-betting the flop?

I play very conservative but would bet pre and bet flop
Then call the raise

The reason for not jamming is way to many hands are ahead of you that can call a jam. You beat none of the hands that call and all the hands you are ahead of just fold.

You shouldn't worry about him jamming the turn. The pot will be like 120 and u guys have like 200 left.

Further, their are a ton of cards that will or might slow him down. 5-J might slow him down. That's like half the deck.
