I had been playing with the guy for 5 hours. For the first 3 hours he was only raising with AA-99 and AK-AJ from any position. He also had no idea about pot odds as he would bet 10 into pots of 70 with obvious draws on board even if he had an over pair to the board. For the last two hours however he had loosened up and was raising to 10 with QTs from MP. He also bet all street with AJ (air). After he bet 10 dollars on the turn I was pretty positive he was on a heart draw. I am wondering how much I should have raised him and if I should have played this hand much differently. I was slightly afraid of him having a higher pocket pair and being afraid of the three hearts but given his recent play I figured it was unlikely.

This is my first post so let me know if I did anything wrong in posting this.

The post is fine. I don't like your turn raise amount. I wouldn't bet half pot with 3 hearts when I thought he was drawing but what you're essentially doing here is betting $20 into a $73 pot. You said he doesn't really know much about pot odds but some numbers look scarier to these people. I think I would've raised to $50 or $60. Other then that, as played it seems fine.

Something you could do in your post though, is not share what the villain held until after the thread had resolved itself. Welcome, btw.

Raising more OTT. The rest is good.

Small hand, small pot vs bad players. I'd just call and let him bluff the river like he did. No need to bloat the pot. he can have a better hand and is playing scared. Who knows because he is a weak player.

Unless you have a super mega soul read on this guy and know his way of playing where his hand flips face up I wouldnt raise.
