The rest of the hand pretty much plays itself in my opinion, but I appreciate the feedback. As someone posted earlier, this is likely just a compounding of errors with the first one being the PF raise. We dig our hole there and it's only getting deeper as the hand progresses.

The Jc on the Turn did complete the rainbow, so no flush draws.

I call the 60 Turn bet.

Pot ~ 233

River K

Villain takes a few seconds and shoves.

The Jc was 2nd club on board, if I remember correctly.

And as others have mentioned, I'm not a fan of raising UTG with KJo.

I'd call turn and re-evaluate river.

You have to fold to that river bet. His range for calling the flop bet is mostly PPs. He's not going crazy with 66 on this runout. He has a set.

This thread may be dead but I am just wondering if this scenario changes when we are only 3 way to a flop. I understand we are 4 way but are we never C betting air? I am having a hard time thinkin of a better board to bet.

What if the flop was 8 4 4 rainbow?

What about A 8 2 rainbow?

I just don't see how c betting is that bad. I don't even consider myself someone who over does it.

Take my ranges and run the numbers for the changes you suggest. Instead of saying what you think is the case, just do the work. I tried to show why in this instance it's -EV. That doesn't mean it can't change.
