[1/2 NL] Big Blind Special? [1/2 NL] Big Blind Special?

Now I know a lot of you don't advocate getting into big hands in limped pots, but regardless, I got caught up in a hand earlier against a new villain to the table.

Villain is mid-20s, fairly competent, has accumulated quite a few chips.

Hero's image is solid, has been making solid plays at the table, and has even called some people down with A high and been right.

1/2 NLHE
Hero ($550) BB
Villain ($300) BTN

Preflop:
Limpfest around, Hero looks down at K3 from the BB and checks option. 6 to the flop.

Flop ($11):
K53

SB checks
BB leads out for $15
Folds to Villain on the BTN who makes it $40
Folds back to Hero who reraises to $90
Villain tanks and then flats

Turn ($187):
10

Hero ??????

I can't imagine what I can beat here. Is this a bet/fold situation? Check/fold? Or what is my best course of action out of position? I can't imagine him having AA, AK, or KK here because he limped on the button, nor 33 because I have blockers. Is his range exclusively 55 at this point?

Advice appreciated!

The 10d is a pretty harmless card, and if you can't imagine what you beat now, what was your rationale for re-raising the flop? Think about how your thoughts before you act on the turn are contradictory to your actions on the flop.

villain has something like 46 or total air and was planning to steal it from you on the turn. so don't check, bet big. see what he does. he could show up with 55, but i doubt it. same with 33.

villain is mid-20s. is he a former internet player who is just transitioning to the live game? if he is, these guys are super aggressive and raise 33 and 55, so we can rule them out. KK, not a chance. K5, doubtful.

i think you are way ahead here. i would bet about $100-$120 on the turn and be willing to go broke.

I am not excited about putting in 150bb with top and bottom in a 6 way limped pot. I don't reraise the flop.

Meh.. I just fold when villain raises it the first time.

Its just a really odd spot and stack size for him to want to bluff or start over-playing KQ. We overbet into 6 people which is strong as hell and now a competent player is wanting to steal a pot with nothing in it on a board which is super dry...

His range looks like 53+

If we had K5... I'm probably going to the grave with that hand

Oh and if we only had 50bb, I wouldn't be able to get away from this but if we call, I doubt villain is slowing down.

I think you are ahead man . He prob got a str8 draw here or being a total ****** with a KX hand. Im betting that turn around $90.

Yeah, why would he want to raise a set on such a dry board? Reasonable that someone could have a 46s I guess, but even then if he's a thinking player he's going to get a lot more value from just flatting and then raising turn or river when that misses rather than just pick up the $20 in the pot.
You're ahead here most of the time imo.
I'm thinking he probably has 53 or KQ somewhere along those lines.
Ship turn I guess.

This is a pretty close spot and needs better reads than "fairly competent"

I'm not just saying that to be irritating. Noticing more is just an absolutely fundamental part of the game.
