I've just moved to this new table as mine broke, I have $600 in chips. The table is exceedingly deep for 1/2, with stacks of 1.2k, 900, 550, 750, and 400 all at the table. the other two stacks are 250 and 300. I walk in on the bb, fold two hands, and am on the button for this hand.
Hero: $600
Preflop: UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, fold, fold, MP2 raises to 15, folds to Hero OTB with 8
8
and I call, both blinds+limpers call.
Flop ($90): 2
3
4
5 checks to Hero OTB. Hero bets $40.
Comments: I didn't see how I couldn't bet here. A general lack of interest in the hand, them probably viewing my bet (as I'm a rando) as being strong, and I am likely to have the best hand and hate any turn card. Thoughts on bet-sizing? I wen't for ~45% of pot thinking most players are calling or folding on this flop, my sizing probably didn't make much difference...Yes/no?
All fold except OR who calls.
Turn ($170): 2
OR insta-checks as he did on the flop, I think for 20s and check behind.
Comments: Is villains range on flop just A
X, 66+, flushes?
River ($170): 5
OR insta-checks, I check behind.
I felt pretty bad playing this hand like this. Check flop and give up on hand? Bet turn on blank card? Once I check turn, checking river is a must imo, villain is extremely likely to have AK here.
